Bishkek, Dec. 26, 2025. /Kabar/. Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture and Food Industry received about 500 requests from citizens, Minister Bakyt Torobaev told Kabar.
According to him, this year the number of requests regarding the provision of clean drinking water and the construction of reservoirs has decreased by approximately 60%.
“All the issues raised at the IV People’s Kurultai are included in our work plan - these are projects for the construction of reservoirs, clean drinking water and sewerage systems. It should be understood that these are not short-term projects. Their implementation is expected to take three to five years, since the development of design documentation for reservoirs alone takes up to two years. These are complex objects that require consideration of issues of seismology, hydrology, ecology and emergency situations,” the minister noted.
He recalled that President Sadyr Zhaparov has set the task of building 160 daytime regulation pools, as well as providing about 600 settlements with a clean drinking water system. These tasks are included in state plans.
“Based on the results of last year’s requests, 30% of the issues have been completely resolved, 60% of the work is under implementation,” Torobaev said.
