700 volunteers involved in organizing 6th World Nomad Games in Kyrgyzstan

Issyk-Kul, Sept. 6, 2026 /Kabar/. 700 volunteers were involved in organizing the 6th World Nomad Games, 658 of whom represented Kyrgyzstan and 42 from foreign countries, Deputy Minister of Culture, Information, and Youth Policy Askaraly Madaminov told at a press conference in Cholpon-Ata.

According to him, the project generated high interest: more than 9,000 applications were received for participation in the volunteer program.

"About 90% of the selected volunteers are fluent in English. "The team also included specialists speaking more than 10 other foreign languages. Volunteers worked at all the main Games venues, accompanying official delegations and guests, assisting with navigation, and providing informational and organizational support," the deputy minister noted.

The 6th World Nomad Games were held in Kyrgyzstan from Aug. 31 to Sept. 6, 2026, with the main competitions taking place in the Issyk-Kul region. More than 3,000 athletes from 109 countries participated in the Games.
