Bishkek, March 3, 2026. /Kabar/. As part of the state program for the development of the food industry and modernization of production in Kyrgyzstan, a project to launch 75 processing plants in 2026 has been approved, Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry reports.
The total amount of financing for the projects is 6 billion 203 million soms, and the funds will be allocated from state soft loans, private investments and international organizations.
Distribution of enterprises by region:
Naryn region - 15 enterprises;
Jalal-Abad region - 14 enterprises;
Issyk-Kul region - 12 enterprises;
Osh and Batken regions - 9 enterprises;
Chui and Talas regions - 8 enterprises.
Among the 75 facilities to be commissioned this year are 14 fruit and vegetable processing plants, 10 slaughterhouses, 8 meat processing plants (including six chicken processing plants), and 8 dairy plants. In addition, 10 trade and logistics centers, 5 wool processing plants, and 3 feed production plants will be opened. In addition, fish, medicinal herb, honey, and mineral water production plants will be commissioned.
