Bishkek, April 20, 2025. /Kabar/. Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic - Head of the Presidential Administration Adylbek Kasymaliev arrived in Washington (United States of America) as part of a working visit to participate in the Spring Meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank Group.
The visit program includes meetings with the World Bank management, in particular with Anna Bjerde, Managing Director for Operations, and Antonella Bassani, Vice President for Europe and Central Asia.
It is expected that they will discuss current World Bank projects in Kyrgyzstan, prospects for expanding cooperation in priority areas, as well as promoting the strategically important Kambarata HPP-1 construction project. Following the meetings, it is planned to sign a number of bilateral agreements.
In addition, Adylbek Kasymaliev is scheduled to participate in a round table with members of the Kyrgyz-American Business Council - representatives of the US business community.
As part of the visit, the head of the Cabinet will also hold a number of meetings with the management of leading American corporations to present the investment potential of Kyrgyzstan and discuss opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation.
The program also includes meetings with representatives of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) and the Global Partnership for Education (GPE) to expand cooperation in the field of education and discuss the participation of the IDB in financing promising infrastructure projects.
