Bishkek, Nov. 26, 2025. /Kabar/. The grand opening of Machine and Tractor Station (MTS) took place in Ak-Suu region of Issyk-Kul oblast. Bakyt Torobaev, Minister of Agriculture, Water Resources, and Processing Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic, attended the event.

In his welcoming speech, the minister noted the key role of mechanization in the development of the agricultural sector. According to Torobaev, the introduction of modern technologies and agricultural machinery will significantly reduce farmers' costs and lower the cost of production.

"It is important to operate machinery correctly and choose machine operators wisely. A qualified machine operator is the key to efficient operation of the machinery. This is the key to competitiveness," Torobaev emphasized.

The minister also proposed reintroducing tools such as the slit-cutter, which will help accumulate moisture on fallow lands in a changing climate.

The main effects of mechanization, as noted by the minister, are:

  • reduction in manual labor and farmers' costs;
  • reduction in production costs;
  • increased competitiveness;
  • reduction in feed costs, as well as meat and milk prices;
  • positive multiplier effect on the market.

"The goal of agricultural services is to mechanize labor, reduce production costs, and strengthen our farmers' market positions. This is an important step for the development of the country's agro-industrial complex," the minister concluded.
