Bishkek, Nov. 6, 2026 /Kabar/. The Ala-Too Resort ski resort is scheduled to open on December 1. By that time, the resort plans to launch 47 kilometers of ski slopes and 6 cable car lines, Askat Cholponbaev, a representative of Ala-Too Resort OJSC, told on Birinchi Radio.
"By December 1, we plan to open 47 kilometers of ski slopes. They will be divided into four categories: for beginners, intermediate skiers, professionals, and those who prefer challenging descents in mountainous terrain," he explained.
According to Cholponbaev, the resort also plans to launch 6 cable car lines. Lifts B1 and B2 will feature a combined system, incorporating both gondolas and chairlifts, with each line spanning 4 kilometers.
"In addition, lift E will be a chairlift, while lifts C and X will be surface (T-bar/platter) lifts," the company representative said.
He added that more than 10,000 guests are expected to attend the opening ceremony, which will also feature a concert program for visitors.
Bakytbek Narbekov, Chief Financial Officer of Ala-Too Resort OJSC, stated that a rental center operated by the company MRM GmbH has opened at the resort for the convenience of guests. It offers a full range of equipment, including skis, snowboards, specialized apparel, and helmets. Additionally, an IT-based electronic queuing system is being implemented.
According to Narbekov, particular attention has been paid to the preparation of the ski slopes. To this end, the resort has acquired six German-made PistenBully snow groomers—specialized machines designed for leveling and preparing snow surfaces. Four of these have already been delivered to Jyrgalan.
Furthermore, the resort’s fleet of vehicles is being expanded with the addition of six snowmobiles and all-terrain vehicles (ATVs), half of which have already arrived at the resort.
