Bishkek, Nov. 18, 2025. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan's population is 7,373,000 people, of whom 59,600 are listed as unemployed, Saadatkul Mukanbetova, a leading specialist of employment promotion department at the Ministry of Labor, Social Security, and Migration told Kabar.
According to her, 40,968 of these individuals have complete documentation and are officially registered as unemployed. "Proactive measures are being taken to promote employment for this category of citizens. Unemployed individuals and employers, by law, have the right to receive information about active employment programs for the unemployed. We offer consultations, which are also available at regional employment service offices. Citizens are referred for vocational training lasting one to three months, depending on their future profession—courses for hairdressers, cooks, cosmetologists, makeup artists, manicurists, and others," she said. Mukanbetova noted that work is also underway with employers.
"Government agencies are helping businesses find suitable specialists and build a talent pool. In addition to active efforts, the state is also using other employment promotion tools aimed at supporting citizens and ensuring a stable labor market," she added.
