Kyrgyzstan, Russia discusses problematic issues in migration sphere

Bishkek, Feb. 25, 2025. /Kabar/. Minister of Labor, Social Development and Migration of the Kyrgyz Republic Ravshanbek Sabirov met in Moscow with head of the Main Directorate for Migration Issues of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia Valentina Kazakova.

During the conversation, Valentina Kazakova spoke about the current work of the Russian side to legalize Kyrgyzstanis in Russia.

Ravshanbek Sabirov pointed out a number of problematic issues that arise in regulating the legal status of citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The Kyrgyz side also expressed concern about the decree of the Government of the Russian Federation "On conducting an experiment to test the rules and conditions for entry into and exit from the Russian Federation", according to which foreign citizens must notify of the purpose of their entry and stay in Russia 72 hours before arrival.

The Russian side gave detailed answers to all questions voiced by the Kyrgyz delegation.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue joint work to inform citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic on the regulation of legal status in the territory of the Russian Federation until April 30, 2025.
