Bishkek, Feb. 3, 2026. /Kabar/. The Kyrgyz Artisans Association participated in the World Crafts Forum (WCF), which was held from February 1 to 3, 2026, in Kuwait.
According to the Kyrgyz Tourism Development Support Fund, the forum featured a national Kyrgyz pavilion displaying ethnic handicrafts reflecting the country's rich cultural heritage. The exhibit included traditional handicrafts demonstrating the diversity of techniques, materials, and artistic forms of Kyrgyz folk art. The national pavilion became a focal point for forum participants and guests, sparking interest in both Kyrgyzstan's handicraft culture and tourism potential.
Participation in the crafts forum allowed for strengthening international professional contacts, presenting Kyrgyzstan as a country with vibrant traditions and a high level of craftsmanship, and highlighting the significant role of crafts in the development of cultural and ethno-tourism.
