Bishkek, Oct. 6, 2026 /Kabar/. Kyrgyz football referees Mederbek Taichiev, Veronika Bernatskaya, and Ismail Talipzhanov officiated football matches at the 20th Asian Games, held in the Japanese cities of Aichi and Nagoya, and successfully completed their duties at the tournament. This was announced by the Kyrgyz Football Union. The football competitions at the Asian Games took place in Nagoya, with the men's tournament held from September 14 to October 3, 2026, and the women's tournament from September 14 to October 2.

According to the Asian Football Confederation's appointment list, three referees from Kyrgyzstan were included in the tournament's official officiating team.

For the men's tournament, Mederbek Taichiev was appointed as the referee, while Ismail Talipzhanov served as an assistant referee. During the tournament, they officiated several key matches and performed officiating duties in the competition's main stages.

Veronika Bernatskaya officiated as the referee for the women's tournament. She also served as the Assistant Video Assistant Referee (AVAR) for the final match.
