Astana gathers Kyrgyz and Kazakh artists at exhibition

Bishkek, April 15, 2026. /Kabar/. The opening of the international exhibition "Light the Light" took place at the HAS SANAT Art Gallery in Astana on April 13, Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports.

According to the ministry, the exhibition's grand opening was attended by Kyrgyz Ambassador to Kazakhstan Kudaibergen Bazarbaev, Advisor to the President of Kazakhstan Malik Otarbaev, and other representatives of Kazakhstan's ministries and agencies.

In his speech, Ambassador Kudaibergen Bazarbaev noted that art is a universal language that requires no translation. "The 'Light the Light' exhibition symbolizes our shared desire for creation and demonstrates the unbreakable spiritual connection between the peoples of Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan," he emphasized.

The exhibition will run until May 11th and features over 60 paintings by artists from Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan. Participating in the exhibition are renowned Kyrgyz artists Sansyz Mirzirayimov, Abai Nasiridin uulu, and Islam Doorov, as well as Kazakh artist Asel Tleulen.
