Bishkek, July 31, 2026 /Kabar/. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Kyrgyzstan on a state visit today, July 30.
According to the presidential administration, Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov greeted the distinguished guest at Issyk-Kul International Airport.
At the airport, the national flags of Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan were raised, a red carpet was rolled out, and an Honor Guard formed up in honor of the official welcome.
Ceremony participants also enjoyed installations reflecting the rich cultural and historical heritage of the Kyrgyz people. Ethnic warriors demonstrated elements of nomadic culture, including birds of prey and taigans. The heads of state then enjoyed a concert featuring Kyrgyz artists performing musical pieces from both nations.
During the state visit on July 31, the leaders of the two countries will discuss current bilateral issues and prospects for further strengthening cooperation. Following the talks, the signing of a number of bilateral documents is also planned.
