Bishkek, June 8, 2026. /Kabar/. Reconstruction work is actively underway on the 126-134th kilometer section of the Balykchy - Bokonbayev - Karakol highway. Ministry of Transport and Communications reports.
The first layer of asphalt has been laid on the right side of the road from kilometer 126 to kilometer 134. And on the left side, asphalt has been laid for the distance from kilometer 126 to kilometer 127+500.
In addition, work has been carried out to prepare the road base in the section from 126 to 131 kilometers, and preparations are currently being made for bitumen spreading.
"In parallel, work is underway to construct engineering structures of the road. Specifically, concreting of reinforced concrete retaining walls on the right and left sides at kilometers 140+224 has been completed," the report says.
As noted, currently, concreting of the main part of the retaining structures on the said section is underway, and concreting of reinforced concrete retaining walls on the right side at kilometers 135+275 is underway.
