Talas, Nov. 2, 2026 /Kabar/. The official opening of the modern central stadium, "Talas Arena," took place today in Talas city, with the participation of the President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Zhaparov.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, the president noted that the development of sports, the construction of modern sports infrastructure, and the creation of conditions for the physical education of the youth remain among the priority areas of state policy.
According to him, sports play an important role not only in strengthening health but also in shaping an individual's character, discipline, and psychological resilience.
"Sports represent a form of self-development, a preparation for various life situations. They teach one how to overcome difficulties, get back on one's feet after setbacks, and keep moving forward. That is why we place special emphasis on developing sports in the country, building modern sports facilities, and creating conditions that allow our youth to enter adulthood with confidence in their future," said Sadyr Zhaparov.
The head of state emphasized that the development of football is one of the country's strategic priorities. The football development program, which runs until 2034, includes the modernization of football infrastructure, the identification of young talent, and the creation of conditions to promote the sport on a mass scale.
It should be noted that the new stadium has a capacity of over 5,000 spectators. The main football pitch was constructed in accordance with international standards and is equipped with a hybrid turf system and an automated irrigation system.
Furthermore, the complex includes two training grounds, three mini-football pitches, a modern lighting system, and all the necessary facilities to host high-level competitions. According to the president, the stadium will make it possible to host not only training sessions and official competitions, but also international matches and other major sporting events.
Sadyr Zhaparov congratulated the residents of Talas on the opening of the stadium, describing the event as an important milestone in the sporting history of both the city and the region.
