Kyrgyzstan's Batken attracts $63.1 mln of foreign investment in 2025

Bishkek, Jan. 28, 2026. /Kabar/. The total volume of foreign investment attracted to Batken oblast in 2025 reached $63 million 135 thousand, Batken oblast administration reports. The volume of direct foreign investment amounted to $40 million 97 thousand. This indicates that the region is becoming a reliable and promising region for investors due to the resolution of the border issue.

During the year, the following large investment projects were implemented in the region:

Mega Gazablok enterprise, opened in Bulak-Bashy village, Leilek district, is producing autoclave gas blocks using German technology. Mega Gazablok LLC invested $18.0 million in the enterprise's project.

The 11th coal mine "Sulukta" is being developed and operated on the basis of an agreement concluded between "Kyrgyzkomur" OJSC and "Hunga Lifeng" Industrial and Trading Company. The parties have invested $65 million in the development of the coal mine. In addition, more than 4 thousand hectares of land in the region have been transformed, investment agreements have been signed with foreign investors, and projects are about to be implemented.

Cabinet of Ministers approved 2 investment agreements: in Kadamjai district, "San Energy Co" LLC, with an investment volume of $250 million, and in Batken, "Kyrgyz Guanda Novaya Energia" LLC, with investment volume of $300 million.

"Ak-Tatyr Energo" LLC is implementing a project to build a solar power plant in Batken. The project is located in the Ak-Tatyr rural area of ​​​​the Batken, and is planned to have a total cost of more than $500 million and a capacity of 600 MW.

In 2025, Batken region strengthened cooperation with Fergana and Sughd regions. Negotiations are also underway with the Mongolian province of Dungovi on wool processing and the import of cashmere goats.

Along with the growth of economic and investment activity, attention is also being paid to developing the region's tourism potential. In 2025, the total number of foreign and local tourists visiting Batken region amounted to 31,697 people. Of these, 2,586 people were from abroad, and 29,111 were domestic tourists.

It is worth noting that today, the presidential representative in Batken region Aibek Shamenov met with investors from China. The parties discussed the implementation of a number of large investment projects that will affect the socio-economic development of Batken region.
