Bishkek, Feb. 12, 2025. /Kabar/. Ambassador Aibek Moldogaziev and Consul General of the Kyrgyz Republic in Chicago Bolotbek Borbiev met with US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Central and South Asian Affairs John Pommersheim.
The diplomatic mission reported that Pommersheim congratulated Ambassador Moldogaziev on the beginning of his diplomatic mission in the United States and wished him success in his responsible work.
During the meeting, the sides discussed current issues of bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and the United States. Particular attention was paid to strengthening political dialogue, interaction on sanctions and project and program activities. An exchange of views on the new US migration policy took place.
Ambassador Moldogaziev noted the readiness to intensify cooperation in key areas of the new US Administration, as well as the development of interaction through the established consultation mechanism and the C5+1 format.
In conclusion of the conversation, the interlocutors confirmed their mutual intention to continue the constructive dialogue and outlined plans for the development of Kyrgyz-American cooperation.
