Kyrgyzstan and EBRD express confidence in advancing joint projects

Bishkek, Feb. 26, 2026 / Kabar/. On 25 February 2026, in London, United Kingdom, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, Jeenbek Kulubaev, held a meeting with Vice President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), Matteo Patrone.

The meeting was also attended by Chairman of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic Melis Turgunbaev, Deputy Minister of Finance Ulukbek Amanbaev, and Deputy Minister of Economy and Commerce Maksat Tumanov.

During the discussion, the parties reviewed issues related to the joint implementation of projects aimed at modernizing infrastructure, enhancing economic resilience, and improving the quality of life of the population. Particular attention was paid to the construction of hydropower plants, the development of transport and logistics infrastructure, and the rehabilitation of water supply systems.

Vice President Matteo Patrone noted the positive economic growth dynamics of the Kyrgyz Republic and reaffirmed the EBRD’s readiness to strengthen partnership and participate in the implementation of the outlined projects.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the sides confirmed their mutual interest in further deepening cooperation and expressed confidence in the successful advancement of joint projects between the Kyrgyz Republic and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
