Bishkek, May 14, 2026. /Kabar/. The 21st meeting of the Secretaries of the Security Councils of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member states is being held at the Ala-Archa State Residence.
The meeting is being attended by the Secretaries of the Security Councils of the SCO member states - Belarus, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, China, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan.
As reported, the main purpose of the event is to maintain stability in the territory of the SCO member states and discuss joint measures to counter modern challenges.
The event is strategically important in ensuring regional security, is being held within the framework of Kyrgyzstan's chairmanship in the SCO. The meeting is being moderated by the Secretary of the Security Council of Kyrgyzstan, Adilet Orozbekov.
As a reminder, the 20th anniversary meeting of the Secretaries of the Security Councils of the SCO member states was held last year in Beijing, China.
The Shanghai Cooperation Organization was founded on June 15, 2001 in Shanghai, China. Today, the organization has ten member states: Belarus, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.
