Bishkek, Sept 23, 2025. /Kabar/. Tajikistan is pleased with the dynamics of expanding interparliamentary cooperation with friendly Central Asian countries, Rustami Emomali, Chairman of the National Council of the Supreme Assembly of the Republic of Tajikistan told during the Third Interparliamentary Forum in Bishkek.
Rustami Emomali congratulated Kyrgyzstan on its successful chairmanship and hosting of this important event for Central Asia and noted that today's meeting continues the good traditions, friendship, and regional interparliamentary dialogue initiated at previous forums in Turkestan and Khiva. The regular holding of this forum demonstrates our respect for the values of regional integration, our desire to strengthen trust, dialogue, and cooperation in the interests of Central Asian peoples. I am confident that through interparliamentary cooperation and the promotion of parliamentary diplomacy, we will make a significant contribution to creating a favorable legal framework for achieving common goals.
This year has seen significant events in our region. On March 31, in the ancient Khujand city, the Republic of Tajikistan, the Kyrgyz Republic, and the Republic of Uzbekistan signed an agreement establishing a point of contact between the three countries' state borders. This historic step, made possible by the strategic vision and determined political will of leaders of the three fraternal states – Emomali Rahmon, Sadyr Zhaparov, and Shavkat Mirziyoyev which opens new horizons for further strengthening good-neighborly relations,” he said.
Another significant event in recent years, as Rustami Emomali noted, was the signing of an agreement between Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan on the state border, which fully resolved all disputed issues along the border between our countries. These interstate documents undoubtedly give new impetus to regional development and create a solid foundation for further multifaceted cooperation. It should be noted that the signing of the above documents received broad support from the international community and authoritative international organizations, which is further undeniable evidence of the process of transforming Central Asia into an economically developed and prosperous region of peace and stability.
