Bishkek, July 31, 2026 / Kabar/. On July 30, international-class golf club opened in Kosh-Kol village in Issyk-Kul region.
The event was attended by Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, Tajik President Emomali Rahmon, and Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
In his speech, the head of state emphasized that sport is one of the most important areas determining the health of the nation, as well as the intellectual and cultural development of the state. Therefore, Kyrgyzstan places special emphasis on the development and expansion of sports infrastructure, the construction of new facilities that meet international standards, and, most importantly, the creation of favorable conditions for sports for all segments of the population.
"The opening of a modern golf club on the shores of sacred Issyk-Kul, which meets international standards, is another important step in the development of our country's sports and tourism infrastructure and is the result of state policy aimed at sustainable development," noted Sadyr Zhaparov. He noted that our country's unique natural resources, especially the inimitable beauty of Issyk-Kul lake, create all the necessary conditions for the implementation of such projects. This is why tourism is considered a priority economic area.
In his speech, the president expressed confidence that the state will continue to consistently develop sports, create modern infrastructure that meets international standards, and strengthen Kyrgyzstan's position in the global sporting arena.
"I am confident that in the near future, this golf club will become a prestigious venue for international tournaments and will make a significant contribution to promoting Kyrgyzstan on the global golf map.
Today, we are opening more than just a new sports facility. This event is further clear evidence of Kyrgyzstan's expanding investment opportunities and the progressive development of its tourism industry," concluded Sadyr Zhaparov, expressing his hope that this golf club will serve the interests of the state and its people for many years to come, making a worthy contribution to the country's prosperity and development.
At the end of the ceremony, the heads of state struck the symbolic first shot, officially opening the golf resort.
