Issyk-Kul, Sept. 2, 2026 /Kabar/. Today, the "Caravan of Unity", a festive procession featuring guests from Kyrgyzstan's regions and abroad arrived in Kyrchyn jailoo as part of the 6th World Nomad Games on the main stage of the Kut Ordo Stadium.
Following this, the audience was treated to the theatrical production "Duynö-ömür"(Universe-life) and the cultural program "The World of Nomads: Living Heritage."
As part of the event, water collected from 40 districts of Kyrgyzstan was delivered to Kyrchyn and poured into a specially prepared spot. The ceremony was conducted by Eduard Kubatov, Director of the State Agency for Tourism Development of the Kyrgyz Republic, and the renowned balban Myrzabek.
The "Caravan of Unity" was a 40-day cultural and symbolic procession that spanned all regions of Kyrgyzstan in the lead-up to the 6th World Nomad Games. Participants included representatives from various regions, horse riders, and creative groups.
The project's main symbol was water from sacred and natural springs across the country. It was collected in a single vessel, symbolizing the unity of all regions of Kyrgyzstan, the harmony, and cohesion of the people. Water also represents life, purity, spiritual renewal, and the continuity of generations.
The "Caravan of Unity" procession also aims to highlight the connection between the modern World Nomad Games and the historical traditions of the Kyrgyz people and the cultural heritage of nomads.
Also today, the main stage will feature concerts by international performers and the national competition for the fastest yurt pitching and dismantling.
The program also includes relay race competition, the creative program, and a presentation of a scientific and historical reconstruction of the military equipment of an ancient Kyrgyz warrior.
The day will conclude with a concert program featuring Kyrgyz and international creative groups, as well as the semifinals of the international aitysh competition for Kyrgyz akyn improvisers.
As a reminder, the 6th World Nomad Games are being held in Kyrgyzstan from August 31 to September 6, 2026. The opening ceremony of the Games took place at the Bishkek Arena in the capital on August 31. The Games are being held in the Issyk-Kul region from September 1 to 6. More than 3,000 athletes from 109 countries are participating in the Games.
