Issyk-Kul, Sept. 04, 2026 /Kabar/. A taigan race was held at the VI World Nomad Games held in Kyrchyn Gorge, in which Kyrgyz taigans also participated.
The head of the Kyrgyz Kumayik Federation, an experienced taigan, Taalai Shukurov, spoke about the taigans’ performance in the competition.
“The Kyrgyz taigan took second place. The taigan from Uzbekistan took first place. But our Kyrgyz taigans became legionnaires and ran on their behalf,” he said.
He also spoke about his own taigans.
“Two of my taigans also participated in the competition. These are future champions. They are just joining. However, they showed good results. Kumar took third place in the competition within Kyrgyzstan.
Kumayik is one year old, one of the youngest taigans. He is getting involved in the competition and gaining experience. He came fifth in his first race. His mother took a prize-winning place in Kyrgyzstan at last year’s championship,” said Taalai Shukurov.
