CEC, OSCE discussed organization and results of early parliamentary elections

Bishkek, Dec. 11, 2025. /Kabar/. Deputy Chairperson of the Central Election Commission, Aidana Zhupueva, met today with the Head of the OSCE/ODIHR Election Observation Mission, Tamas Meserich, and her representatives.

According to the CEC press service, the meeting included an exchange of views on the preparation and conduct of the early parliamentary elections in the Kyrgyz Republic, scheduled for November 30, 2025, as well as their results.

Head of the Mission, Meserich, expressed interest in organizational issues related to tabulating election results and conducting re-runs in those polling stations and districts where the results were annulled. Zhupueva noted that, as part of the modernization of the electoral system, the Kyrgyz Republic has implemented a number of technological and organizational solutions aimed at ensuring a high level of openness in the electoral process and increasing citizen participation in voting.

She emphasized that the main goal of the ongoing reforms is to increase transparency, accountability, and public trust in election results, as reflected in the recent parliamentary elections. The deputy chairperson detailed the key provisions of electoral legislation, which guided organizational and technical work at all stages of the electoral process, from the election date to election day and the tabulation of preliminary results.

She also outlined the Central Election Commission's future work plan for organizing and conducting repeat elections at individual polling stations and in Electoral District No. 13, the results of which were annulled due to violations of electoral legislation.
