Bishkek, Oct. 20, 2026 /Kabar/. The Central Elections Commission(CEC) in Kyrgyzstan has issued warnings to four individuals for violating the rules regarding pre-election campaigning on social media.

According to the CEC, this matter was reviewed on October 19, during a meeting of the working group on voter information and campaign regulations. The basis for this action included posts urging people to vote or not to vote for specific candidates before the legally established campaign period, the dissemination of campaign materials, and the conducting of polls (along with the use of their results) intended to influence voters' choices.

Warnings were issued to active social media users Zalkarbek Kudaiberdiev, Bakhtiyar Kydyraliev, Malik Ismailbek uulu, and Zhyrgalbek Ibraimov. They acknowledged the concerns raised by the working group and expressed their readiness to delete the posts and refrain from such actions in the future.

The CEC has called upon citizens, media outlets, and social media users to comply with the requirements of election legislation.
