Bishkek, Nov. 4, 2026 /Kabar/. As part of preparations for the 2027 presidential election, the Central Election Commission (CEC) tested an election system at two higher education institutions in Bishkek.

According to the CEC, the test took place yesterday between 10:00 and 15:00.

During the process, the functionality of the election module, the stability of the system, and the mechanism for the online identification of voters were evaluated.

The remote voting system is designed to allow citizens to cast their ballots at a polling station of their choice, rather than being restricted to the location where they are officially registered.

This test represents one of the initial stages of preparation for a nationwide trial. The nationwide test is scheduled for November 18, 2026.

It should be noted that the presidential election in Kyrgyzstan is set for January 27, 2027.
