Bishkek, Sept. 7, 2026 /Kabar/. The informal meeting of the ministers of internal affairs and public security in the "Central Asia - China" format in China discussed issues of combating transnational crime and strengthening cooperation in the field of security.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, at the meeting, Minister of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Ulan Niyazbekov noted that the expansion of economic, transport and humanitarian ties between the states requires strengthening the interaction of law enforcement agencies.
According to him, since threats such as terrorism, extremism, drug trafficking and cybercrime cross borders, rapid information exchange and close cooperation are necessary.
Attention was also paid to cooperation within the framework of the SCO, and the issues of training law enforcement officers and improving their professional level were considered.
