Bishkek, April 3, 2026. /Kabar/. The regular meeting of CIS Council of Defense Ministers was held in Moscow on April 2.
According to the Kyrgyz Ministry of Defense, during the meeting, the defense ministers discussed current issues of multilateral military cooperation. Particular attention was paid to strengthening Eurasian security, developing a unified air defense system, and improving radiation, chemical, and biological defense systems.
They also discussed practical aspects of implementing the Concept of Military Cooperation of the CIS Member States until 2030.
Bilateral meeting between Kyrgyz Defense Minister Ruslan Mukambetov and Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov was also held on the sidelines of the meeting. During the talks, the parties discussed the current state and prospects for developing Kyrgyz-Russian military and military-technical cooperation.

"Kyrgyzstan attaches great importance to the further development of mutually beneficial military and military-technical cooperation with Russia," noted Ruslan Mukambetov.
The parties confirmed their mutual interest in further strengthening cooperation in all key areas.
