Bishkek, March 12, 2026. /Kabar/. Construction of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan Railway is actively underway, Dastan Usubakunov, Deputy Director of the Kyrgyz Temir Zholu State Enterprise told Birinchi Radio.
According to him, the railway will be 305 kilometers long. Work is currently underway on several sections simultaneously.
"Work has already begun on four major tunnels. The project calls for the construction of 29 tunnels and 50 bridges. Work is progressing rapidly," he noted.
Usubakunov added that concrete work has been temporarily suspended due to the winter, but work inside the tunnels continues.
According to him, the overall project completion time is six years, with one year of construction already passed.
