Bishkek, Aug. 11, 2026. /Kabar/. Construction of a waste recycling plant continues in Osh, according to the city administration.
According to the municipality, the Chinese company Junxin Huanbao KG Invest is constructing the facility. Once operational, the plant is expected to process up to 310,000 tons of waste per year, or more than 800 tons per day, and generate electricity. Construction is currently underway at all units of the facility. Approximately 200 workers are employed on site.
The city administration notes that the project will address the city's waste recycling needs and reduce the negative impact on the environment.
