Bishkek, Aug. 20, 2026. /Kabar/. Toktogul Satylganov Kyrgyz National Philharmonic hosted a special theater program, "Theatre Rushing Forward in Bishkek. It was prepared jointly with the Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture (SFAC) as part of an international cultural exchange program.
First Deputy Minister of Culture, Information, and Youth Policy Soyuzbek Nadyrbekov participated in the event. He noted the importance of developing cultural ties between Kyrgyzstan and the Republic of Korea.
According to him, international creative projects create opportunities for the exchange of experience between artists from both countries and contribute to the further development of cooperation.
The "Theater Rushing Forward" program aimed to introduce Kyrgyz audiences to contemporary Korean theater and became part of an international touring program.
The event showcased contemporary trends and creative potential in Korean theater.
Bishkek was one of the cities on the program's international tour route, along with Seoul, Tashkent, and Astana.
Next city to host the Theater Rushing Forward will be Tashkent on August 23, and tour ends on August 27 in Astana.
As a reminder, Kyrgyz Philarmonic and SFAC signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at developing cooperation in the arts and culture sector on August 19, 2026.
