Bishkek, Feb. 10, 2026. /Kabar/. CSTO Secretary General Taalatbek Masadykov met in Moscow with Russian Defense Minister and Chairman of the CSTO Council of Defense Ministers Andrei Belousov.
They held a thorough exchange of views on political and security issues in the Organization's area of responsibility and on its borders, and discussed in detail the strengthening of the allies' military potential.
Taalatbek Masadykov briefed Andrei Belousov on the progress of the events planned for the current year.
During the meeting, the Russian Defense Ministry's approaches to implementing the priorities of Russia's CSTO chairmanship in 2026 were discussed.
"In the current complex military-political situation, it is important to continue working to ensure the Organization's readiness to adequately respond to emerging challenges and threats," the Russian Defense Minister emphasized.
Andrei Belousov also congratulated Taalatbek Masadykov on his appointment as CSTO Secretary General and expressed confidence that his tenure in this position will contribute to the further strengthening of the Organization.
