Bishkek, Nov 3. 2025 /Kabar/. Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Adylbek Kasymaliev praised the performance of the State Customs and Tax Services, noting that they are exceeding their targets, Daiyrbek Orunbekov, head of the information service of the Presidential Administration reported.
According to him, the head of government personally thanked the employees of both services for their achievements and emphasized that such high indicators were achieved thanks to large-scale reforms and the introduction of digital technologies.
Customs Service is currently actively implementing reforms aimed at digitalization and creating the most convenient conditions for entrepreneurs. A week ago, we launched the QR code payment feature. Now businesses can pay fees online, without waiting in line, Orunbekov noted. He added that in the first week alone, the new system was operational, payments worth over 40 million soms were processed via QR code, significantly saving entrepreneurs time and speeding up procedures.
Furthermore, digitalization has yielded tangible results at checkpoints. Previously, 150–160 import vehicles passed through the Erkeshtam checkpoint per day; after the reforms, this figure increased to over 500 vehicles per day. According to Orunbekov, this has contributed to the increase in customs duties and improved the agency's efficiency.
