Bishkek, Sept 23, 2025. /Kabar/. Daniyar Amangeldiev, First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers met with Antje Grawe, UN Resident Coordinator in Kyrgyzstan. According to the Cabinet of Ministers, the parties discussed the country's current socioeconomic development, progress in implementing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), as well as joint initiatives in the areas of ecology, climate change, and green economy development.
Daniyar Amangeldiev noted that the Kyrgyz Republic's economy is demonstrating accelerated growth:
- on average, GDP growth over the past three years was 9%, and 11% in the first eight months of 2025;
- by 2030, GDP is planned to reach at least USD 30 billion, a 71% increase over the 2024 figure.
Special attention was paid to integrating the SDGs into national development programs. An indicator matrix with 217 indicators was approved, which is used to regularly monitor progress.
A significant increase in state budget revenue was noted, which allowed for an increase in public sector wages, pensions, and benefits, as well as a 4.1 percentage point reduction in poverty in 2024. As part of the climate and mountain agenda, the adopted Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) and the Biennial Transparency Report were discussed.
Antje Grawe congratulated the Kyrgyz side on State Language Day, expressed support for the Cabinet of Ministers' efforts to achieve the SDGs, and noted the readiness of the UN system to provide assistance in key areas such as social protection, gender equality, environmental protection, and other areas. The parties confirmed their commitment to further fruitful cooperation and collaboration in the implementation of national and international development programs.
