Bishkek, Sept. 20, 2025. /Kabar/. A delegation of young leaders from political parties and media outlets in neighboring countries of China visited Zhejiang Province from Sept. 17 to 19 for a study and exchange program focused on digital innovation, grassroots governance, and cultural exchange.

During their trip, delegates visited Zhuji in Shaoxing on Sept. 18, where they learned about the Fengqiao Experience, a grassroots conflict resolution model practiced for more than six decades. The Fengqiao experience first emerged as a way to mobilize the masses to address social conflicts at the grassroots level without needing the involvement of higher legal institutions. It is particularly supported by Xi Jinping as a means to mimic the outcomes of liberal democracy – accountability and public satisfaction – within China’s unique political framework.

That same day, delegates attended a reading salon themed “Read the World Through Pages and Miles: From the Baicao Garden to the World” in Shaoxing, co-hosted by the CPC International Department and Contemporary World Press. Held in the hometown of renowned writer Lu Xun, the event brought together young media professionals and scholars to discuss literature’s role in fostering cross-cultural understanding and global governance. Delegates also visited Lu Xun’s former residence and Baicao Garden.
