Bishkek, Feb. 4, 2025. /Kabar/. On February 3, Deputy Foreign Minister Meder Abakirov met with US Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Lesslie Viguerie in Bishkek.
The Foreign Ministry said that, Deputy Minister of Economy and Commerce Nazarbek Malayev also took part in the event.
During the meeting, the parties discussed current issues of Kyrgyz-American cooperation, including economic and technical cooperation, migration and sanctions issues, as well as Kyrgyzstan's participation in international initiatives.
The Kyrgyz side expressed interest in continuing the dialogue in order to find balanced solutions to the issues raised. Ambassador Viguerie confirmed the readiness of the American side to cooperate within the framework of existing bilateral mechanisms. The meeting took place in a constructive and businesslike atmosphere.
