Bishkek, Feb. 24, 2026 /Kabar/. On February 24, 2026, a meeting was held between Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Meder Abakirov and the United Nations Resident Coordinator in the Kyrgyz Republic Antje Grawe.
During the meeting, the parties discussed current issues of cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and the UN system, reviewed the outcomes of their joint work in 2025, and outlined plans for collaboration for the upcoming period. Particular attention was given to preparations of forthcoming visits, as well as to regional and international issues.
The parties also addressed issues related to the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals in the Kyrgyz Republic. Antje Grawe reaffirmed her readiness to continue joint work on ongoing and prospective projects being implemented in the country.
For his part, Meder Abakirov expressed the Kyrgyz side’s interest in further expanding cooperation and confirmed readiness to provide comprehensive support to the activities of the UN system in the Kyrgyz Republic.
