Bishkek, March 4, 2026 /Kabar/. Kazybek Moldaziyev, Director of the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports of the Kyrgyz Republic, met with SCO Secretary General Nurlan Yermekbaev as part of his working visit to China.
According to the agency, in Beijing, they discussed expanding cooperation between SCO member states in physical culture and sports, holding joint events, and promoting a healthy lifestyle. Kazybek Moldaziyev spoke about priority areas for the development of Kyrgyzstan's sports sector and expressed interest in further strengthening cooperation.
In turn, Nurlan Yermekbaev presented the organization's current activities, noting that sports is one of the most dynamically developing. He also emphasized the importance of holding the SCO International Issyk-Kul Marathon. This marathon was recognized as one of the key sports projects that contributes to strengthening friendship between the peoples of the organization's member states and fostering healthy societies.
