Digital technologies in electoral process of Kyrgyzstan aroused Hungary's interest

Bishkek, Jan. 23, 2026. /Kabar/. Deputy Chairperson of the Central Election Commission Aidana Zhupueva met with the Ambassador of Hungary to Kyrgyzstan Sándor Dorogi.

As reported by the Central Election Commission, during the meeting the parties discussed the development of bilateral cooperation in the field of electoral processes and the exchange of experience between the election authorities of the two countries.

Ambassador Sándor Dorogi expressed Hungary's interest in using advanced digital technologies in the electoral process of Kyrgyzstan, as well as its experience in introducing and implementing gender quotas.

The meeting discussed the issue of organizing a polling station for their citizens at the Hungarian Embassy in Kyrgyzstan in connection with the parliamentary elections to be held in Hungary on April 12, 2026.

In turn, Aidana Zhupueva noted that CEC is ready to assist in the organizational work within its powers.

In addition, Sandor Dorogi invited representatives of Kyrgyzstan to participate in international observation of the upcoming parliamentary elections in Hungary. Aidana Zhupueva expressed her intention to actively participate in observing the parliamentary elections in Hungary and emphasized the importance of further strengthening and developing fruitful cooperation between the electoral bodies of the two countries.
