Bishkek, Nov. 18, 2025 /Kabar/. Melis Turgunbaev, Chairman of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic, participated in the 29th meeting of the Advisory Council on Monetary Policy of the Central (National) Banks of the EAEU Member States, which was held in Almaty.
At the meeting, the heads of the EAEU member states' central banks discussed the current economic situation in the region, the implementation of monetary policy, and measures to ensure macroeconomic stability.
Participants paid special attention to the regulation of digital financial assets, including the development of a regulatory framework for virtual assets and cryptocurrencies. The parties exchanged experiences and approaches to oversight and risk management in rapidly changing digital markets.
Following the meeting, it was noted that strengthening coordination between the EAEU central banks is key to increasing the resilience of the member states' financial systems.
