Bishkek, March 9, 2026. /Kabar/. The Eurasian Development Bank assessed Kyrgyzstan's budget performance. The bank’s experts noted that government revenues exceeded expenditures, with the surplus by the end of 2025 amounting to 2.5% of GDP, compared to 2.4% the previous year.

At the same time, economists have recorded a significant increase in government funding for the development of the fuel and energy sector, agriculture, and mining. This 3.2-fold increase demonstrates Kyrgyzstan's strong focus on supporting strategic sectors that foster economic resilience. Financial investments in key sectors amounted to 31.5% of GDP.

Despite such significant domestic investment, the republic's budget maintained a positive balance due to improved tax collection (+32%) and increased National Bank profits transferred to the state treasury.
