Bishkek, Oct. 12, 2026 /Kabar/. Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) weekly macroeconomic review noted positive trends in key indicators reflecting the resilience of Kyrgyzstan's economy.
While the EDB had previously highlighted significant GDP growth rates, analysts are now focusing on the rise in budget revenues and the reduction in public debt levels.
"Moody's has upgraded the Kyrgyz Republic's sovereign credit rating from B3 to B2 with a stable outlook. This decision is based on two factors: average economic growth of approximately 10% between 2022 and 2025, and the strengthening of public finances.
Public debt has fallen to 37.5% of GDP, while the budget surplus for January–July 2026 stood at 7.3% of GDP," the review states.
