Bishkek, Sept. 30, 2025. /Kabar/. The electoral process in Kyrgyzstan is completely digital and automated, Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov said n his address to the nation on Tuesday.

He said that in the 30 years since independence, Kyrgyzstan has experienced three coups. And all three times they were related to elections.

"Three times our state found itself on the brink of collapse. This happened because the elections were unfair: votes were rewritten in favor of other candidates, results were falsified, votes were bought—in short, the elections were conducted the way the ruling forces wanted.

We have abolished the old electoral system. The days of pre-printing ballots, loading them onto trucks, and delivering them to polling stations under guard are a thing of the past. Now everything is digital,” Zhaparov said.
