Energy cooperation between Central Asian countries discussed in Tashkent

Bishkek, Feb. 16, 2026. /Kabar/. On February 13, a regular working meeting of the ministers of energy and water resources of Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, and Tajikistan was held in Tashkent.

The Ministry of Energy of the Kyrgyz Republic reported that the event was attended by Kyrgyz Energy Minister Taalaibek Ibrayev, as well as the energy ministers of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Tajikistan. The meeting was also attended by heads and senior specialists from energy companies of these countries.

During the talks, the sides particularly noted that the multilateral cooperation initiated in recent years by the presidents of friendly and fraternal states is developing consistently and effectively in all areas, particularly in the fuel and energy sector.

The meeting also discussed in detail the safe passage of the current autumn-winter period, ensuring the stable and uninterrupted operation of water and energy systems during the growing season, and further deepening mutual cooperation. The parties agreed on network operating schedules.
