Bishkek, June 20, 2026 /Kabar/. The Energy Expo Kyrgyzstan — SCO 2026 international exhibition was successfully held in Bishkek on June 18–19, 2026.
The event, organized at the initiative of the Ministry of Energy of the Kyrgyz Republic, became an important platform for developing international cooperation in the energy sector, attracting investment, and promoting modern technologies, according to the ministry's press service.
The exhibition was held as part of the Kyrgyz Republic's chairmanship of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and was closely linked to the Sixth Meeting of SCO Energy Ministers.
On the final day of the exhibition, participants of the Sixth Meeting of SCO Energy Ministers—heads of energy departments, representatives of government agencies, international organizations, and energy companies—visited the exhibition. The delegations were introduced to the technologies, innovative solutions, and investment projects in the energy sector.
Representatives of SCO member states held direct talks with the exhibition participants and discussed prospects for joint projects. Thus, the initiatives and areas of cooperation discussed during the ministerial meeting received practical follow-up at the exhibition, where participants were able to combine meaningful dialogue with concrete opportunities for partnership development.
Over the course of two days, dozens of business meetings, presentations, and negotiations took place at the exhibition. Participants discussed the development of renewable energy sources, hydropower, energy infrastructure modernization, equipment supplies, and the implementation of new investment projects.
As a result of the exhibition, companies established new business contacts, explored promising areas of cooperation, and reached preliminary agreements on joint initiatives. The negotiations opened up new opportunities for partnership and laid the foundation for future agreements and investment projects.
More than 40 companies from Kyrgyzstan, China, Russia, India, Belarus, Turkey, and Vietnam participated in the exhibition, presenting modern technologies, equipment, and innovative solutions for the energy industry. The exhibition covered a wide range of topics, including solar and renewable energy, hydropower, electrical equipment, energy facility design and construction, and other promising areas of industry development.
Energy Expo Kyrgyzstan — SCO 2026 confirmed its importance as an effective international platform for strengthening professional dialogue, developing investment cooperation, and establishing new business ties. The exhibition further strengthened the Kyrgyz Republic's role as a key hub for energy cooperation and dialogue within the SCO region.
The Ministry of Energy of the Kyrgyz Republic will continue its consistent efforts to promote the country's energy potential, attract investment, and introduce modern technologies into the industry.
