Bishkek, March 30, 2026 /Kabar/. Erlist Akunbekov, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry, met with Sergei Molunov, Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus to the Kyrgyz Republic.
According to the Cabinet of Ministers, during the conversation, the parties confirmed their mutual interest in further strengthening the friendly and partnership relations between Kyrgyzstan and Belarus.
They discussed preparations for the return official visit of Belarusian Prime Minister Alexander Turchin to the Kyrgyz Republic, scheduled for June 4-5, 2026. Official meetings and events, as well as a Kyrgyz-Belarusian business forum, are planned for the visit.
The parties also discussed expanding trade and economic cooperation, industrial collaboration, and collaboration in agriculture, transport, and logistics.
The need to intensify work within the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific, and Technical Cooperation was emphasized. The next meeting is proposed to be held in Minsk in the second half of 2026.
Kyrgyz side expressed its readiness to continue close and coordinated work with the Belarusian side to deepen bilateral cooperation and deliver concrete results.
