Bishkek, April 1, 2026 /Kabar/. Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Head of the Presidential Administration of the Kyrgyz Republic Adylbek Kasymaliev received Pedro Vargas David, President of the Euronews news channel, the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic said.
During the meeting, the parties discussed establishing a long-term partnership and promoting information content about Kyrgyzstan internationally.
Adylbek Kasymaliev emphasized the special importance of Euronews as one of the world's leading sources of information, creating an objective and balanced agenda for a global audience.
He noted that Kyrgyzstan is currently experiencing dynamic development. The country strives to strengthen its position in the region and build an open, constructive dialogue with the international community.
The Kyrgyz side expressed interest in providing extensive coverage of key processes in the country, including media coverage of significant international events, including the SCO meeting and the 2026 World Nomad Games.
Kasymaliev recalled that 2026 is a significant year for the country – it marks the 35th anniversary of Kyrgyzstan's independence. This historic date symbolizes the path of establishing sovereignty and developing national identity.
In turn, Euronews President Pedro Vargas David thanked the channel for the warm welcome, noting that this is his first visit to the Kyrgyz Republic. He expressed strong interest in long-term cooperation and confirmed the channel's readiness to become a global platform for showcasing Kyrgyzstan's achievements to a global audience.
