Exhibition "On the Shores of Issyk-Kul Lake" to be open in Moscow

Bishkek, July 16, 2025. /Kabar/. The exhibition project "On the Shores of Issyk-Kul Lake " will be open on July 17 at the Moscow Museum of the East, says the official website of the museum.

The exhibition will present fine and decorative arts of Kyrgyzstan of the 20th century, and will also introduce visitors to the culture and nature of the republic.

Visitors will see more than fifty exhibits from the museum's collection. Among them are paintings by famous artists such as Semyon Chuikov, Gapar Aitiev, Dzhambul Dzhumabev and Dogdurbek Nurgaziyev. Also presented are easel sculptures and ceramics by Shaarbek Amankulov.

The exhibition will be supplemented by engravings by European artists with ethnographic subjects and postcards "Peoples of the USSR" from the Marjani Foundation. In addition to painting and sculpture, the exhibition includes decorative and applied art items from the late 19th - early 20th centuries. They feature ancient symbols depicting the sky, earth and water, as well as solar and cosmogonic signs. The exhibition will be open to visitors until October 12.
