EXPO 2025: Kyrgyzstan receives gold medal in Japan

Bishkek, Oct. 15, 2025. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan's national pavilion was awarded with gold award at the World Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan which took place from April to October of this year. At this major international venue, Kyrgyzstan presented unique blend of cultural heritage, philosophy of living in harmony with nature, and modern technological advances. The exhibition generated great interest from the global community.

Kyrgyz national pavilion consisted entirely of handmade exhibits reflecting the history, culture, and philosophy of life of the Kyrgyz people in harmony with nature, but with a modern twist. The jury highly praised the use of artificial intelligence and the combination of technology and tradition, said Zhalyn Zheenaliev, Deputy Director of the National Investment Agency under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic and Kyrgyzstan's Commissioner General at EXPO 2025.

Kyrgyzstan showcased its investment and tourism potential. The pavilion hosted presentations on energy, ecotourism, agro-industrial complex, mining, and digital innovation. About 25,000 and 40,000 people visited the pavilion daily, and nearly 29 million people visited the exhibition over the course of six months. Guests were given tours in Japanese and English, which provided detailed information about our investment projects, Zheenaliev added.

Also, National Investment Agency staff held several meetings with Japanese companies and international organizations to discuss prospects for further cooperation.

The EXPO 2025 Gold Award is the highest recognition and prestigious achievement for any country. Only 19 received gold medals from 169 participating countries. Total 45 awards were presented—gold, silver, and bronze.
