Bishkek, March 12, 2025. /Kabar/. Marketplaces are becoming a significant channel for exporting food products from Kyrgyzstan to Russia, data of the Trade Mission of the Russian Federation in the Kyrgyz Republic said.
According to data of Wildberries, in 2024, sales through the platform in the Kyrgyz Republic increased sharply. If previously the main export goods from the Kyrgyz Republic were textiles and clothing, then in 2024, food sales increased by 111%.
The most popular products among Wildberries customers were dried fruits (+112%), beans (+118%), mountain teas (+227%), food sets with dried fruits (+665%), dry kurut cheeses (+20%), jam, especially apricot and raspberry (+40%).
High demand for natural, environmentally friendly products from Kyrgyzstan is observed in Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan, where sales volumes increased by 18%, 24% and 64%, respectively.
Overall, food exports from Kyrgyzstan in 2024 increased by 17.3%, reaching $136.5 million. The sector's share in the country's total exports was 13.1%.
