Bishkek, April 29, 2026 /Kabar/. Today, April 29, Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov held talks with Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Togo Faure Essozimna Gnassingbé.
During the meeting, the parties held a thorough exchange of views on pressing bilateral issues, focusing on partnership in areas such as energy, digitalization, healthcare, education, agriculture, and the financial sector. They also reaffirmed their commitment to further expanding multilateral cooperation within the UN, OIC, and the African Union in the interests of sustainable development between the two countries.
At the meeting, Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Togolese Republic Faure Essozimna Gnassingbé noted that this visit marks a new stage in relations between the two countries and emphasized Togo's interest in a mutually beneficial and lasting partnership.
He emphasized that, despite the geographical distance between Togo and Kyrgyzstan, the countries share similar priorities.
"The agreements we are signing today cover critical areas that create the foundation for the future development of relations between our countries.
These agreements are not the end; for us, they are only the beginning. Our task now is to implement them methodically and consistently," concluded Faure Essozimna Gnassingbé.
At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to begin the practical implementation of the proposed agreements in the near future and to engage the relevant government agencies of both countries.
